The Amber Nicole Cowen Memorial Foundation's mission is to bring awareness to Domestic Violence through evidence based practices, training and promoting healthy relationships. Our target audience is focused on survivors of domestic violence and being pro-active in awareness of the signs of domestic violence.

Amber's Closet

The Amber Foundation and Amber's family were honored to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Amber's Closet at New Hope's facility in Attleboro on October 24th. After several years of planning, this project has become a reality. New Hope has been a key partner in our mission to support domestic violence victims, and we've developed a strong partnership. When they proposed creating a store where victims could shop without stigma, we were enthusiastic about the opportunity. This initiative aims to empower individuals and provide essential items. The store will offer its services free of charge to victims and their families, providing access to clothing, toiletries, kitchen items, and more. We were pleased to contribute financially and volunteer for the construction of the space.

The store's name, Amber's Closet, was inspired by Amber's love of shopping and her kindness towards others. The phrase 'Knowing I deserved better changed everything' serves as a reminder of the potential for positive change. We're grateful to New Hope employees and volunteers for their dedication.

We miss Amber and hope she'd be proud of our continued efforts to honor her memory.
